THE MOON AND LOVE MAGIC |

Every human being is driven by cycles, as any other living form on earth. There is no point in fighting against these cycles, whereas wise people understand and make use of them. Our greatest cycle generator is the moon, which approximately every 28 days goes through its four phases, arranging the behaviour of all of us. The moon has a main role in magic spells, since some rituals must be performed during specific lunar phases, which is the case of the creation rituals or the maintenance rituals. Let’s see the symbolism of each one of the four lunar phases:
Crescent moon. This phase symbolizes the beginning, renewal, awakening, the primary energy. As a rule of thumb, the rituals related with the beginning of a new love must be performed during this phase. The crescent moon energy is the same as the one contained inside the seed of large trees: it means the power of greatness inside small things. This is why many ancient cultures gave special importance to the crescent moon’s power to give new energy to love or strengthen an existing one.
Full moon. This the most mature moment. The full moon symbolizes wisdom, balance and harmony. The spells performed during the full moon are full of this kind of energy and should be used to bring stability to an existing relationship. A common mistake when performing a love spell is arranging it for full moon in the case of a relationship that has not flourished yet. Since a friendship needs passion to become love, it is advisable to perform those starting spells during the crescent moon.
Last quarter moon. This phase is devoted to preparation to change. This is the most proper phase for taking decisions, suitable for preparing a change in your life. Many people wrongly believe that love spells performed during this phase are less powerful than others, but this is not true. You simply must take care to perform only spells that could deeply change your life during this quarter.
New moon. This is the phase for peace and pureness. This is the most suitable phase if you want to perform spells related to dreams and inner re-balance. If you are in a time of your life when you have a clear target and you only need the energy to go ahead, this is the moon phase when you should perform your spells.
As you can see, it is neither necessary nor convenient to abuse from the crescent moon power. This phase’s excessive energy would sometimes divert the result of our spells, although sometimes we don’t have enough time to wait until the next convenient moon quarter.
