THE POWER OF WATER IN MAGIC

Water is around us since the instant we are born, giving us health and comfort. It is used in the kitchen, in the bath and even in our spare time: a beach without water would only be a desert. It’s easy to forget about something that is part of our everyday routine even though it is a necessary element for life.

This pure and basic liquid has the quality of remembering each of every place it has gone through, taking part of its essence within. Thus, urban water will never have the same magical benefits that spring water has: they will differ in taste, smell and contained energy.

Ancient countries could recognise the few springs that had special properties and so priests and monks limited the consumption of their water, preventing cattle from drinking there of children from playing around. Make no mistake: not all kinds of water are the same.

A good example of this truth can be found in the de people of Alaknanda, located in North India, close to the headwaters of river Ganges. The first village founded there was built in the bottom of a valley where there were two springs, one at each end. Half the population used to sleep close to the North fountain and these people always were full of energy, ready to work. The rest of the inhabitants of the valley lived closer to the southern spring, in a more relaxed way, sleeping more hours every night and having less worries. The water from both springs is potable but the effects could be felt even when some villager took some water with him before starting a journey. Soon the most wise people recognised the benefits and started using both types of water in their rituals.

Many white magic spells use the power from different kinds of water, to obtain very diverse results, from reinforcing a new love to be luckier in business. Wicca rituals usually need some water from celtic springs and some black magic rituals use water that has never been exposed to sunlight. Anyway, simple rituals, such as easy love spells, can extract their power out of water from your nearest natural spring. Simply make sure that the water you are using has been treated or conducted through a pipe. These are some tips when using water in your magic spells:

· Don’t let water touch metallic objects, unless the ritual tells so since this is a way of discharging the energy from both elements.

· Make sure not to mix different kinds of water.

· If you cast a spell at night, expose water to moonlight the required time, no longer.

· If you are not sure about the precedence of a sample of water, avoid using it in a ritual.

Last, but most important: water remembers each place it has gone through, so avoid handling it in other rooms that the suitable ones for performing magic.

This tips are valid for love spells or rituals to attract money, among others.
